Dr. Robert G. Rabil is an internationally renowned scholar whose books and articles have been highly commended by major academic journals. He is considered one of the leading experts on Salafism, Radical Islam, US-Arab-Israel Relations, and Contemporary Middle East politics. He served as Chief of Emergency of the Red Cross in East Beirut during Lebanon’s civil war, and as the project manager of the US State Department-funded Iraq Research and Documentation Project. He received multiple academic awards, including an honorary Ph.D. in Humanities, and certificates of appreciation from branches of the U.S. government. He has a Ph.D. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University. He is a professor of political science at Florida Atlantic University and the Chastain-Johnston Middle Eastern Studies Distinguished Professor.
