This novel examines the role of genetics as the main character, an author by profession, finds out that the man who she believed to be her father is not her biological dad. Rather he is in modern terms her “social” dad. While she was raised in a Modern Orthodox community she finds out that her biological Dad was in fact not Jewish. Her journey into search for the truth about her birth is very interesting. This is a tale of nature vs. nurture and what really determines who we are and how we live our lives.
