Feb. 25: “JEWS UNDER MOROCCAN SKIES” – As a native of beautiful Morocco, I am constantly amazed by the richness and uniqueness of the history of Moroccan Jews and their enduring spirit during two thousand years of Jewish life in this North African country.  The lecture will address the particular characteristics of the Jewish Community as it moved from biblical, medieval contexts to modernity, and in the end, fell apart after World War II and the end of the French Protectorate.
