It is believed that Elijah is present at every Jewish ritualistic circumcision. In fact, a chair is set aside for him on such occasions. So too is he eagerly expected at our Seder table. In fact, we place a cup for him there. He is also especially mentioned during both the recitation of “Havdalah” ceremony and the “Birkat HaMazon.” Why is Elijah, the Prophet, mysteriously present to us in so many settings?
All are welcome. Knowledge of Hebrew is not required.
