A variety of “technological advances” have appeared in the last two decades. We will look at three of these through the lenses of Jewish Law and Jewish Philosophy. Over five weeks we will look at how Judaism responds to change today.
Session 4 & 5 – We will take a visit into the internet, both social media sites and the deep dark web. We will probe the implications of the loss of privacy and the loss of a sense of security.
Rabbi Mark Staitman is well known in the Pittsburg Jewish Community and in the Soviet Jewry advocacy movement. Rabbi Staitman served the Rodef Shalem congregation as Rabbi until 2003. Rabbi Staitman is a Licensed Professional Counselor and he maintains a small private therapeutic practice which specializes in therapy for clergy who suffer from the effects of trauma.
