Former U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler is president of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace in Washington, DC. A graduate of the University of Florida, Gainesville and George Washington University Law School, he served as a member of the Florida State Senate from 1990-1996. While representing Broward and Palm Beach Counties (Florida’s 19th congressional district) from 1997-2010, Rep. Wexler chaired the Subcommittee on Europe and served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the Middle East Subcommittee, the Judiciary Committee, and the Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet and Intellectual Property. He was the only member of the House present at the signing of the Wye River Peace Agreement.
