Just as it’s wrong to say that religion motivates all terrorism, it’s also wrong to say religion is not a motivator for terrorism. This discussion will focus on Islamic terrorism and explain how radicals selectively interpret Islamic theology in order to justify terrorism. This talk will also explore the state of the battle over theological interpretation and will explain current reformist trends to counter extremism.
