B'nai Mitzvah

Having a Bar or Bat Mitzvah at Temple Emanu-El of Palm Beach is a joyous and engaging journey for both the child and their family alike.

Our students study at the Religious School to prepare for this big day. During their time in Religious School, our students attend weekly tefilla (services) where they begin to learn the prayers. They also have Hebrew and Judaica classes twice a week which help them to learn not only the Hebrew language, but also the Jewish traditions surrounding prayer, holidays, Israel and Torah.

In the year prior to the B'nai Mitzvah, students and their families regularly meet with the Rabbi and the Hazzan to discuss the meaning of the day and to study one-on-one to learn the required skills.
