Just as rain comes down drop after drop
and eventually forms streams,
so with the Torah;

A person learns a little Torah each day,
and soon he/she becomes like a mighty river.

Jewish things to do while you’re alive...

Jewish Education is more than just learning from a book. It involved learning from exeriences - Jewish experiences. Listed below is a list of some Jewish experiences you might want to put in your life when the time is right. Which, of course, is now!
  • Read the entire Tanach.
  • Pray at The Wall.
  • Experience Mikvah.
  • Stay up all night on Shavuot learning Torah and eating ice cream.
  • Watch a sunset in Tzfat as Shabbat begins.
  • Learn to tie Tzitzit and make your own Tallit.
  • Do Hagbah (especially if you are a girl).
  • Go Israeli folk dancing.
  • Make friends with a Palestinian Arab.
  • Learn Hatikvah by heart.

  • Say the Shehechianu after kissing someone you love.
  • Keep kosher for a week…a month…a year…

  • Build a Sukkah and sleep in it.
  • Lay on your back looking up at the ceiling of the Horb Synagogue in the Israel Museum.
